Louis J. Dobin, Camp Director

Loui Dobin has been the director of the URJ Greene Family Camp since 1978. Prior to his arrival in Texas, Loui attended New York University, majoring in Psychology, Political Science and Physics. He was the regional president of the Long Island Federation of Temple Youth and the Treasurer of the national organization.
As a musician, Loui was one of the founding members of the Jewish musical group Kol B’seder, and participated in a number of recording projects. He is also a composer, song leader and performer.
He has also found time to become a licensed pilot and emergency medical technician. Loui lives in Temple, Texas with his wife Sheila, a geneticist, and his dog Shayna, a “Chusky” (Chow-Husky mix). Loui and Sheila are the proud parents of Jonathan and Zachary, both longtime campers and staff members at Greene.
Stefani Rozen, Senior Assistant Camp Director

Stefani Rozen began her job as Assistant Camp Director in 2007. She has spent many summers at Greene as a camper, counselor, tennis specialist, and a member of the summer administration as Sports Director. She was also an active member of NFTY's Texas-Oklahoma region during her high school years. Stefani's responsibilties as Assistant Camp Director include camper recruitment, staff hiring, and summer and winter programming.
Before returning to GFC full time, Stefani attended the University of Texas, earning her Bachelors Degree in Jewish Studies with a minor in History. Following school, she spent some time traveling in Australia and New Zealand, and then returned to the United States to work at the Religious Action Center of Reform Judaism in Washington, DC. She spent three years there as the Senior Conference Planner organizing and running teen social action seminars.
In her free time, Stefani enjoys traveling, vacationing with friends, and bicycling. She also loves spending time with her family and her miniature goldendoodle, Lolli. Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Stefani now resides in Houston.
Rabbi Ana Bonnheim, Assistant Camp Director

Rabbi Ana Bonnheim is one of GFC's assistant directors. She is the development director. Ana is also the camp rabbi, overseeing all Jewish education and ritual at camp, coordinates visiting faculty participation at camp, and other aspects of the program.
She was ordained by Hebrew Union College in 2008. She grew up in Dallas and graduated from Dartmouth College cum laude. While in rabbinical school, Ana served congregations in Grand Junction, CO; Greencastle, IN; Portsmouth, OH; and worked as the rabbinic intern at Congregation Beth Adam in Cincinnati, OH. She worked as a rabbinical legislative assistant at the Religious Action Center for Reform Judaism, as a chaplain at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Medical Center, as the rabbi for DePauw University Hillel, and as a facilitator at Fernside: A Center for Grieving Children.
In addition to her work at GFC, Ana has served Temple Beth Emeth in Sherman, TX and the Congregation of the Hills in Rapid City, SD. She is on the boards of Dartmouth College Hillel, the Chaplaincy Advisory Council at Baylor Hospital and Medical Center in Dallas, the Dallas chapter of the National Council of Jewish Women, and on the Education Committee of Planned Parenthood of North Texas.
At GFC, Ana was camper and staff member: counselor, unit educator, and Avodah unit head. She credits GFC with giving her a love of living in a Jewish community and inspiring her to become a rabbi. She loves traveling, photography, a good book, and her goldendoodle, Babar. She is married to Rabbi Asher Knight, and they live in Dallas.
Scott Braswell, Assistant Camp Director

Scott Braswell is the newest member of the GFC assistant director team joining Greene in May of 2010. Scott is an assistant director who oversees the operations side of camp including the maintenance, housekeeping, and food services areas of camp. Scott also helps with the summer program along with Stefani and Ana. In the non-summer months Scott lives on camp and runs the winter business of camp, which includes retreats for synagogues and other groups. Camp has a group renting the facility almost every weekend!
Scott was a camper and staff member here and also helped a fellow GFC Alum David Berkman open Camp Kalsman in the summer of 2007 serving as the head of counselors. Previously Scott worked as the Teen Director at the Barshop Jewish Community Center of San Antonio.
A native of San Antonio, Scott was an active member of NFTY’s Texas Oklahoma Region during high school and attended college in Austin at the University of Texas.
In his free time Scott enjoys watching and playing sports, spending time with his beagle Becky, traveling and being with his friends and family.
